A toolkit focused on helping municipalities access the tools necessary to play a role in aquatic invasive species prevention efforts has been developed through a project lead by the National Sea Grant Law Center in support of the US Fish and Wildlife Service.

This toolkit guides local municipalities through the process of identifying high-risk priority aquatic invasive species and includes management and prevention strategies that align with state and federal laws.
