Early detection and prevention are the first lines of defense against the introduction and spread of invasive species. The longer an invasive species goes undetected the larger their populations are able to grow which increases the damage done to the ecosystem. Reporting observations of invasive species helps to give an upper hand to invasive species management efforts.

You can report sightings of invasive species to iMapInvasives, a collaborative GIS-based online tool for invasive species management. iMapInvasives can be used via a free mobile app or online interface to record invasive species observations.  Submitted data can be viewed on a public-facing interactive map and is used to assist with invasive species management initiatives.
