An invasive insect called Hemlock Woolly Adelgid (HWA) kills hemlock trees. Hemlocks are a key tree species, and loss of hemlock populations would dramatically reduce the overall health of our forests. YOU can help protect Foster-Blake Woods Preserve from invasive species! Attendees are encouraged to make a free iMapInvasives user account and download the iMap mobile app prior to attending the hike. By searching for and reporting observations, volunteers aid a state-wide effort to monitor for and manage HWA.

SLELO PRISM Partner Meeting Schedule: Our partners have decided to meet on a seasonal/quarterly basis. We will meet the third week of these months: January, April, July, and October alternating between Wednesdays and Thursdays, starting at 10 am.
