Preparing Your Woods For More Frequent Disturbances Workshop: Rain or shine, Saturday, October 13th 9am-4pm at the Snow Ridge Resort with an afternoon field session on Tug Hill. Learn about the history of Tug Hill forests, as well as adaptive management & climate resilient forestry strategies. The site visit will occur on The Nature Conservancy’s 17,000-acre conservation area where a climate resilient forest project is currently underway. Project team staff from TNC and the Cornell Cooperative Extension will be present and information about the project and a forest health productivity tool that can be used to guide climate resilient management plans will be shared.
