Lake Ontario’s Ecology and Current Issues
Classroom materials and lunch are included. Limited to 20 educators.
Participants will receive a $200 stipend and educational materials, with the opportunity to earn an additional $100 stipend during the 2018-2019 school year for conducting a Great Lakes stewardship project with your students.
Workshop Meeting Location: Rice Creek Field Station, Brownell Road, Oswego, NY 13126
Interact with scientists and naturalists at the Rice Creek Field Station, NYS Parks, and other unique areas. Learn about the exciting educational opportunities provided through the new Great Lakes Ecosystem Education Exchange.
Workshop Partners: NY Great Lakes Ecosystem Education Exchange, Center for Great Lakes Literacy, New York Sea Grant – Cornell University, NYS Department of Environmental Conservation and New York State Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation, Rice Creek Nature Preserve, SUNY Oswego.
To register, email your name, school name, grade you teach, number of students you teach each year, summer email (in case you do not monitor your school email), phone number (that you use during the summer) and indicate that you accept the cancellation fee of $25 if you register and do not give 48-hour cancellation notice.
