The A2A Collaborative facilitates a network of partner organizations working to connect lands and people across the Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario to the Adirondacks region in New York, through an Algonquin 2 Adirondack (A2A) corridor, to enhance a critical link for biodiversity and resilience in eastern North America.
Overarching Symposium theme:
What do we really know about the A2A corridor, and what do we need to better understand to effectively protect and conserve it?
To present and discuss a range of perspectives and research relevant to the A2A region as an international ecological corridor to arrive at a better understanding of the state of knowledge surrounding the A2A, and future research needs.
This will include:
Exploring a full range of perspectives in the A2A region including ecological, geological, social/anthropological, and First Nations knowledge.
Presentations on recent ecological connectivity and climate change science and how it relates to the A2A region.
Presentations on past, current and proposed A2A research, and conservation projects.
A final session that explores future research/project needs (what are the top 10 future needs?).

SLELO PRISM Partner Meeting Schedule: Our partners have decided to meet on a seasonal/quarterly basis. We will meet the third week of these months: January, April, July, and October alternating between Wednesdays and Thursdays, starting at 10 am.
