Look for These Signs of Infestation

If the tree you adopt shows any of the signs described below, please take a photo of the suspected sign, note the location of the tree, and email  mdemarco@watertown-ny.gov the information with the subject of (adopt a tree). 

Asian Longhorned Beetle (ALB)
ALB larvae bore through the woody tissue of many species of hardwood trees. This disrupts the flow of nutrients and water through the tree. Eventually, the tree weakens and dies from the infestation.
